Limitations of Ayurveda Q1. Is Ayurvedic medicine limited to specific conditions of the diseases? Ans. Yes, Ayurvedic medicine can act properly on specific conditions of diseases. In Ayurveda all the diseases have four conditions viz. Sukha Sadhya Avastha (easily curable), Kricchra Sadhya Avastha (difficult to cure), Yapya (paliable) and Asadhya (incurable) depending on the involvement of prakriti, doshas, dushya, sustas agin etc. Ayurvedic medicine can act on easily curable as well as diseases which are difficult to cure. On paliable diseases, it can act to maintain the feeling of comfort till the therapy is contained. It does not have effect on incurable diseases. Q2. Whether Ayurvedic medicines/Ayurveda can help in the dreadful diseases like Cancer, AIDS, and SLE etc.? Ans. It can be helpful to a certain extent, depending upon the involvement of dosha, dushya, desha, kala, prakriti, vaya etc. It can give symptomatic relief from the condition. Q3. Can diseased persons be cured fully after using Ayurvedic medicines? Ans. It depends upon conditions like easily curable diseases, diseases which are difficult to cure, paliable disease & incurable disease. Q4. Can Ayurvedic medicines produce side effects during administration in certain conditions? Ans. Yes, it can produce side effects, if is not administered in proper dose, conditions of the disease & the personality of patient. Q5. Can it help in the preventive aspect of the disease? Ans. Yes, if the food and habits of person are followed as advised by Ayurveda, it can play a significant role in preventing different diseases. Q6. How does Ayurveda play an important role in controlling epidemics? Ans. By preventing the disturbances to the environment and increasing the immunity of the body, it can control epidemics very well. Q7. Are Ayurvedic medicines used only to control chronic disease conditions? Ans. Ayurvedic medicines are not limited to controlling chronic disease conditions but also for cure of different cronic ailments through its holistic approach. Q8. Can Ayurvedic medicines be used during Pregnancy and newborns? Ans. Yes, suitable medicines, which are appropriate to the conditions like pregnancy and newborn, can be used. Q9. Are Ayurvedic medicines accepted globally? Ans. Yes, Ayurvedic medicines are used globally and accepted in a number of countries.
