Siddha Pharmacopoeia Committee The Ist Siddha Pharmacopoeia Sub Committee (SPC) under the Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia committee was constituted in February 1964 to standardize the various compound Siddha formulations and publications of Siddha Pharmacopoeia.
The Siddha Pharmacopoeia Committee (SPC) has been reconstituted under the Dept. of AYUSH, consisting of the following members vide letter No. S. 21013/3/2005-APC dated 17th January 2006. The term of Committee shall be for a period of 3 years from the date of its first meeting and the members shall hold office for that period. Dr. C. N. Deivanayagam chairs the existing Main Committee of SPC and Dr. T. Ananthan, Assistant Director (S) I/C, CRI (Siddha), Chennai, is the Member Secretary. For finalization of the work under SPC Sub-Committees are existing as follows:
To fulfill the task given to the Siddha Pharmacopoeia Committee, it was felt appropriate to constitute sub-committees with specific target by involving outside experts in addition to the members of the SPC. Accordingly, three sub-committees were constituted as mentioned below:

Publications: Siddha Pharmacopoeia of India: Siddha Pharmacopoeia of India Part - I, Volume - I, consisting of 73 monographs on single drugs of plant origin has been printed.
