Tribal Population Health Care Research Programme.

This programme has been initiated with the following aims and objectives:

  • To study the living conditions of tribal people
  • To collect the information about folk medicines used by them
  • To collect the information about medicinal plants of the area
  • Propogation of knowledge about hygiene
  • To educate the tribal communities about prevention of diseases
  • To advice on the use of common medicinal plants of the area and to provide medical aid at the door steps of habitants
  • To collect information related to Health Statistics
  • Geographical details
  • Climatic and environmental profile of the region
  • Study of dietetic habits
  • Nature and frequency of prevalent diseases.
