Dr. B. Chandra Sekhara Rao has completed his M.D. in Ayurvedic Internal Medicine (Kayachikitsa) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
He is also a member of Project monitoring Unit for Covid-19 related projects constituted by the Ministry of AYUSH, GOI. He has worked under WHO at Khatmandu, Nepal from 1992 to 1995 as a faculty of Institute of Medicine, Naradevi. He has worked as an Associate Professor at SDM College of Ayurveda, Hassan, Karnataka, India. He has served as a Research officer at CARIC, Mumbai and at National Institute for Mental Health & Neurosciences, Bengaluru for a period of 15 years. He is member of Project evaluation committee of CCRAS.
He is also In-charge of IEC (Information, Education and Communication) of CCRAS and Programme officer of the six peripheral institutes of the CCRAS. He has successfully completed 11 clinical research projects and monitoring the development of Protocols and execution of the Clinical trials under different heads like Intramural Research Programme, Collaborative Research activities with reputed Institutes in India and abroad.
He is interested in interdisciplinary and collaborative research and networking, developing new methodologies of clinical research suitable for research in Ayurveda. Dr. Rao has published more than 100 Research papers & reviewed the Post Graduate Thesis of Ayurveda of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He is a member of Editorial Board & reviewer of some Indexed Journals.
