Dr. Bharti graduated from A & U Tibbia College, New Delhi (1982-1987). After internship at Tibbia college, she completed M.D. (Kayachikitsa) from Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (1988-1991). She was selected as clinical Registrar in 1992 at BHU. She completed her Ph.D as a regular candidate at Deptt. of Kayachikitsa, BHU in 1996. She joined Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences as a Research Officer (Ay.) on 27th April, 1998. She was associated with various clinical research projects including Diabetes, Hypertension &Validation of Vaman Procedures. She was selected as Assistant Director (Ay.) & served as Programme Officer CCRAS, HQrs and partly as A.D. (Incharge), CARI, New Delhi from 21st Oct, 2009 to 08th March, 2019 (FN). She became Director (Institute) and joined the post on 08th March, 2019 (AN). Currently she is serving as Director (Institute) at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, New Delhi. She was associated with various prestigious programmes and research projects of CCRAS including Prakriti Assessment, NPCDCS, National Campaign on Anaemia & Geriatrics. Currently she has been the Principal Investigator for the project entitled “Efficacy of Ayurveda nutritional Supplement and Yoga Protocol in preventing /reducing the severity of acute mountain sickness an open label randomized controlled study” conducted at Leh. She is also Principal Investigator for the project “Efficacy of multimodal Ayurveda regimen in the management of Primary Knee Osteoarthritis: Study protocol of an open-label randomized controlled trial” a collaborative study with AIIMS, New Delhi. She is coordinating & facilitating various research projects at CARI, New Delhi through its technical officers. She has more than 85 paper presentations/publications to her credit. She has participated in more than 65 seminars. She has coordinated/organized more than 20 seminars & training programmes. She is also handling various administrative responsibilities for smooth functioning of the institute. She obtained NABH accreditation for the institute on 07.10.2022 & NABL accreditation for Labs of the institute on 13.03.2023.
FOREIGN VISITS:
- Visited Budapest, Hungary for conducting a “120-Hour Post-Graduate University Course for Physicians in Hungary”, Budapest in August, 1997.
- Participated in “Expo-2000”, Hannover, Germany in Exhibition cum Extension lecture from 10.10.2000 to 1.11.2000
- Participated in “Second Imported Goods Fair”, Seoul, South Korea from April 26 to April 29, 2004
- Participated in exhibition cum presentation in “57th World Health Assembly Meeting” at WHO, Geneva, Switzerland: 18–22 May, 2004
