Dr. Deepak Kumar is currently working as Research Officer (Chemistry) at CCRAS-CARI Kolkata. His roles and responsibilities mainly include the handling of various research projects related to the drug development, standardization, pharmaceutical research and isolation of the markers. He is also actively associated with the various activities of the NABL ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory of CARI, Kolkata as Deputy Quality Manager.
He obtained his Ph.D. (Chemistry) degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur in the year 2020. His doctoral research work was mainly focused on analyzing molecular interactions and dynamics of various drug delivery systems both in the solution and solid state by employing NMR methodologies based on relaxation, diffusion, Magnetization Transfer (MT), cross-polarization and chemical exchange. He started his career as an Assistant Geochemist in Geological Survey of India, Gandhinagar, Gujarat in the year 2019 and was associated with the analysis of the samples of National Geo-Chemical Mapping (NGCM) project.
He joined Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush in the year 2021, as Research Officer (Chemistry) at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata. He is currently associated with 11 IMR/Collaborative research projects. He has published more than 35 research articles, 04 book chaptersin peer reviewed journals, and holds 01 international patent. He has presented 30research papers in variousconferences and attended more than 50seminars, workshops and trainings. He serves as an Ad-hoc Reviewer for several international journals viz.Scientific Reports, RSC Advances, Biochemistry and Biophysics Reports, Analyst, Molecular Diversity, In Silico Pharmacology, Accreditation and Quality Assurance, Journal of Molecular Modelling, BMC Chemistry, Journal of Pharmaceutical Innovation, Online Journal of Chemistry, ACS Books, औरBentham Books. He is also associated with various national and international scientific societies such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Society of India (Life Member), American Chemical Society (Community Associate), International Society of Magnetic Resonance (Web member), Royal Society of Chemistry (Web Member), European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry (Member), ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry (Member), Global Harmonization Initiative (Member).
