Dr. Harjeet Singh is currently working as Research officer (Pharmacognosy) at Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (CCRAS), Port Blair. He has 22 years of research, administration and academic experience. He did his Bachelor in Pharmacy from MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly (UP). He earned his Master in Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy from MCOPS, Manipal and Ph. D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. His areas of interest are Pharmacognosy, Phytochemistry and plant biotechnology.

Previously he worked as Assistant Professor at Bundelkhand University, Jhansi and HNB Garhwal Central University, UK. He also worked on deputation in NMPB, Ministry of AYUSH, Delhi. He was associated with R & D and National AYUSH Mission activities of NMPB. He was conferred upon Prof. S. B. Sonawane memorial award for the Best article published in 2022 in Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research. He received Certificate of Appreciation for Best Research Paper on Application of TLC/HPTLC on behalf of Dr. P. D. Sethi Memorial Annual National HPTLC Awards committee by Anchrom Enterprises, Mumbai, India. He bagged Best Paper Award for oral presentation during NCMP-2023. He also received Certificate of Appreciation by All India Institute of Ayurveda, Ministry of AYUSH, Delhi.

Presently, he is having one project funded by NMPB, Delhi and one IMR project. Previously he has also worked on ten CCRAS Intra mural research Projects. He has published more than 41 research/review articles in various national /international journals. He has got a patent to his credit No.  IN 208771/ Sep. 09/2025 “Modified Extraction Apparatus”. He has served as Technical Manager for Pharmacognosy and Botany sections for NABL accreditation. He contributed two book chapters for Royal Society of Chemistry. He presented lectures/ papers as resource person in more than twenty six national/ international conferences. He also contributed as author of three books. He has also authored a book “HPLC monographs on selected medicinal Agents”, by CBS Publishers, Delhi (in press). He is reviewer of many Scopus indexed Informatics, Bentham Science, Wiley and national journals. Additionally he is external examiner of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot (Pb.), MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly (UP), Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (UP), Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar (Pb.), HNB Garhwal Central University (UK) and Postgraduate examiner at BU, Jhansi and research supervisor of AKTU, Lucknow and UTU, Dehradun wide code no.
