Dr. Mahesh S Joined CCRAS as Research Officer (Ay) in 2021 at the Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Patiala, Punjab and working as Pharmacy In-charge of GMP certified Institute pharmacy.                 

He completed his MD in Rasasastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana from Government Ayurveda College Trivandrum, Kerala and completed PhD from Institute for Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), Jamnagar, Gujarat. He was a former research scholar of Department of Pharmacology, Medical university of Debrecen, Hungary under ERASMUS programme.

He started his carrier as working as a Senior Research Fellow in Institute for Post Graduate Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, Jamnagar in 2016. He worked as an Assistant professor in Department of Rasasatra and Bhaishajya kalpana, Parul Institute of Ayurveda, Gujarat. He worked as Medical officer at Bakloh cantonment hospital, Himachal Pradesh on deputation.

He joined at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Patiala in 2021 and has been involved in ten IMR clinical research projects under Reproductive/Women child health as a Co-Investigator. Now working as a Principal investigator/Co-Principal/Co-I Investigator in five projects and Co-investigator of four projects under Ayugyan scheme of Ministry of AYUSH. His research interest includes Standardization of formulations, development and designing of new formulations and safety profile.  He is a reviewer for 07 peer reviewed national/international journals and also a reviewer for PG-STAR, SPARK and Ayurgyan scheme projects. He has authored/co-authored 21 research articles in national and international peer reviewed journals and attended/ presented papers in various national and international seminars/ conferences.
