Dr. Shashidhar H Doddamani,working as Research Officer (Ay,) in Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Bengaluru- a Peripheral Institute of Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. He is a Clinical researcher, Panchakarma specialist and renowned Ayurvedic Physician and Principal investigator of several Intramural Research/Collaborative projects and Outreach programme and Chairman of Institutional Ethics Committee of Sri Kalabyraveshwara Institute of Ayurvedic Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

He is graduated in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from DGM Ayurvedic Medical College, Gadag, which is a renowned Karnataka University at Dharwad, Karnataka, India. He is post graduated in M.D. (Ayurveda), Kayachikitsa from esteemed Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Mysore, (RGUHS) Karnataka, India. He started his career as Lecturer & Assistant Professor in DGM Ayurvedic Medical College, Gadag, Karnataka and guided Post Graduate scholars of Kayachikitsa and Panchakarma.

He joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush in the year 2006, as Research Officer (AY,) at Regional Research institute at Jammu, (Jammu& Kashmir). Since then, actively involved in clinical research. He was also posted at CARIP, Cheruthurthy, Kerala for a year as a panchakarma expert.

He has been actively involved in IMR/Collaborative and outreach programme like THCRP and EMRS programme. As a Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator handled around 20 projects and AYUSH sponsored programmes. He is actively involved inSurvey of Medicinal Plant Unit (SMPU) tours under medicinal ethno botanical survey (MEBS) for collection of local health tradition/folk claims etc. He has been nominated as a Resource person for various national and international seminar/workshop/training programmes.He has the credit of publication of more than 47 research papers in International / National Journals and worked as a reviewer for International Journal, and is a member of Advisory Board for reputed journals.

He has guided/co-guided 28 Dissertation works for M.D (Ay.) scholars of Kayachikista, Panchakarma and Rasashastra. In the year, 2000 visited Russia and Netherland as a Ayurveda consultant through Maharshi Ayurveda.
