Dr. Sariga K.S, PhD (Ay.) is currently working as Research Officer (Ay.) at the National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma (NARIP), Cheruthuruthy. Her major area of specialization is Dravyaguna, with research interests in fundamental research in Ayurveda, medicinal plant research, pharmacognosy, ethnobotanical and ethnomedicinal studies, and scientific exploration of Ayurvedic concepts. She completed her B.A.M.S. from Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, in 2010 and M.D. (Ayurveda) in Dravyaguna from the same institution in 2015. She subsequently pursued her Ph.D. in Ayurveda from the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), Jamnagar, which she completed in 2023.

Dr. Sariga K. S. began her academic career as Assistant Professor in the Department of Dravyaguna, Government Ayurveda College, Tripunithura, Kerala, where she was involved in teaching and research activities. She joined the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Tadong, Gangtok, as Research Officer (Ay.) in 2021 and served there until March 2024. She joined the National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma, Cheruthuruthy, in April 2024 and continues to serve there as Research Officer (Ay.).

She has been actively involved in Extramural Research (EMR), Intramural Research (IMR), collaborative and multicentric research projects in various areas of Ayurveda. She has served as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in research projects related to medicinal plants, ethnobotanical and ethnomedicinal documentation, clinical, fundamental and literary research. Dr. Sariga K. S. has published several peer-reviewed research papers in national and international journals in the field of Ayurveda and allied areas. In addition to research publications, she has contributed chapters to academic and professional books in areas related to Research. She has participated in and contributed to various research training programmes, academic activities, scientific meetings and professional programmes related to Ayurveda research. She has also been involved in the coordination and execution of multicentric and collaborative research activities at CCRAS. She also holds an e-Postgraduate Diploma in Epidemiology from the Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH), Delhi. Dr. Sariga K. S. serves as a reviewer for several national and international peer-reviewed journals. She is also associated with the review and evaluation of various CCRAS research and academic programmes, including CCRAS-SPARK, PG-STAR and CCRAS-PDF, contributing her expertise to the assessment of research proposals and academic submissions.
