Mr. Thirupataiah Boini is currently serving as a Research Officer (Chemistry) at the Department of Quality Control Laboratory (Chemistry Section), National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma (NARIP), Cheruthuruthy, under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Since joining the institute in March 2021, he has been actively engaged in Drug Standardization and Phytochemical Research, contributing to the scientific validation and quality assurance of Ayurvedic medicines. His work aligns with the broader vision of the Ministry of AYUSH — advancing the scientific understanding and global recognition of traditional systems of medicine.

Mr. Boini obtained his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (2010) from Osmania University, Hyderabad, where he developed a strong foundation in chemical sciences and analytical methodologies. His academic excellence led him to qualify for several prestigious national examinations, including GATE (2013, 2019), CSIR-JRF (2014), CSIR-NET (2015), UGC-JRF (2017), and SLET (2013) in Chemical Sciences.
Professional Experience
Mr. Boini has accumulated rich experience across academia and research institutions:
- Assistant Professor (Chemistry) – Sree Datta Institute of Engineering & Science, Hyderabad (2013–2014),
- Laboratory Assistant (Chemistry) – National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela (2016–2017),
- Laboratory Technician (Chemistry) – Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Tirupati (2017–2021),
Since 2021, he has been contributing significantly to the CCRAS as a Research Officer, playing a key role in the establishment analytical methods by HPLC and HPTLC and NABL accreditation of the Quality Control Laboratory for AYUSH drugs at NARIP.

- AI and Machine Learning Applications in Herbal Drug Discovery.
Research and Projects
Mr. Boini is currently the Principal Investigator for 03 projects and Co-Investigator for 08 IMR projects funded by CCRAS, New Delhi. He has successfully completed 04 IMR projects as Principal/Co-Investigator. His research primarily focuses on:
- Phytochemical characterization and standardization of Ayurvedic formulations,
- Analytical method development for herbal drug evaluation,
- Integration of modern analytical techniques for validating traditional medicines.
