About the Institute
M.S. Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (MSRARI), Jaipur was established on 1stApril, 1972 as Regional Research Institute (RRI) for Ayurveda under Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS) (now Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences), Department of Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy (now Ministry of AYUSH), Government of India, with the objective to promote Ayurveda on scientific ground by means of clinical as well as drug development studies. In the year 1999, under the process of re-organization of CCRAS, this institute was upgraded as Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI). In the year 2010, the Institute was again renamed as Ayurveda Central Research Institute (ACRI). Thereafter under the process of re-organization of Council’s peripheral units, the institute was renamed as “Regional Ayurveda Research Institute for Endocrine Disorders (RARIED)”in April 2016. The institute has been renamed once again as ‘Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI)’ since January, 2021. Various Clinical Research studies have been conducted by this Institute since its inception.
Besides the Institute is devoted to research in various domains of Ayurvedic Sciences and also catering to the needs of public healthcare through hospital-based services. The MSRARI, Jaipur has the mandate to focus on Clinical Research, Health care services through NABH Accredited Hospital with Out- Patient Department (OPD), In-Patient Department (IPD), Panchakarma, NABL accredited Clinical Pathology & Biochemistry laboratory and Digital X-ray unit. The institute is involved basically in clinical research activities since last 50 years for affordable healthcare, generation of knowledge base and nurturing future scope of Ayurveda.

Vision
To develop scientific evidence through Ayurvedic principles, drug therapies and Panchakarma procedures by integrating ancient wisdom with modern technology and to bring Ayurveda to the people through scientific innovation related to diagnosis, preventive, promotive and treatment methods and also introduce scientific research for public health and system.

Achievements
- NABH accreditation obtained for Hospital on March 2023.
- NABL accreditation obtained for pathology and bio-chemistry labs on November 2023.
- The Institute has been affiliated by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University Jodhpur for conducting Ph.D. course in 03 Subject (13 seats) of Ayurveda viz. Kayachikitsa, Basic principle of Ayurveda and Balroga.
- The Institute is also affiliated by above university for conducting Internship programmefor BAMS and DAN&P (Diploma in Ayurvedic Nursing & Pharmacy) students.
- The Ethics Committee of Institute is also registered under DHR (Department of Health Research), ICMR.
