Dr. Anil Damodar Avhad graduated from MUHS in Nashik, Maharashtra. He completed his post-graduation and PhD in the Department of Basic Principles at the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA) in Jamnagar. Additionally, he earned an MA in Sanskrit from Tilak Ayurved Vidyapeeth in Pune. Dr. Avhad began his career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Principles at Mahatma Gandhi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Wardha, Maharashtra. Over time, he also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research (PDCR) and a Postgraduate Program in Epidemiology. In February 2017, he joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI) in Jammu, before later working in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. He served as the Principal Investigator for the Swasthya Rakshan Program (SRP) for two years and the Tribal Health Care Research Program (THCRP) for five years. Additionally, he was the principal investigator for an intra-mural research projects focusing on eczema, wounds, and COVID-19, among others. Dr. Avhad has authored a total of 23 publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
