Dr. Anil Mangal is a distinguished Research Officer (Ayurveda) and pay level-13 at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute in Gwalior, a centre of Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. With a career spanning over 24 years in clinical practice, 18 years in research, and 5 years in teaching, Dr. Mangal has made significant contributions to Ayurvedic medicine. He holds an M.D. in Ayurveda from the University of Rajasthan and a Ph.D. from the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur. His notable achievements include evaluating Ayurvedic drugs for anti-fertility and osteoarthritis, leading multicentric clinical trials, and working on high-impact projects related to diabetes, osteoporosis, and COVID-19. He had completed 25 clinical projects. Dr. Mangal has authored numerous publications in esteemed journals and has been honoured with awards such as the Gold Medal for his Ph.D. research, ‘Dhaulpur Gaurav,’ ‘Gwalior Gaurav,’ and the ‘Best Scientist’ award. Dr Mangal had visited to University of Monastir, Tunisia (North Africa) and Dubai (UAE) as a representative of Government of India to deliver a lecture for coordination between the countries in the field of Ayurveda. His work continues to influence the field of Ayurveda, reflecting his commitment to advancing both clinical and research practices in traditional medicine.
