She is currently working as “RESEARCH OFFICER (PATHOLOGY)” in Central Ayurveda Research Institute, New Delhi which she joined on 22nd March, 2021.
She completed her MBBS at the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, which she joined in 2006. She received distinctions In various subjects like Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Paediatrics. Following this, she joined MD Pathology in JJM, Davangere, in 2013, where she topped her college in the final MD exams. The topic of her MD dissertation was “Aspiration Biopsy Cytology of Diffuse Goitre.” Subsequently, she joined the Senior Residency in Delhi Government Hospital which she did for 4 years. In her present job as RO Pathology, she was instrumental in receiving NABL as well as NABH accreditation for the hospital being a member of the NABL as well as NABH committee of the Hospital. She is also the BMW incharge of the hospital and the Member of Infection control committee of the hospital. She is a part of various other committees in the hospital, like the verification committee, Sexual Harassment & Internal Complaints Committee and therapeutic committee. She is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the lab, verification of reports of patients as well as project participants, along with the updation of EQAS.
She has gone through multiple trainings like “One Day Administrative Capacity Training and Workshop”at CARI, Punjabi Bagh, Basic Bio-Statistics training at CCRAS, Project Management of Health Programmes at IIPH, New Delhi etc.
She was also the Co- Investigator for the prestigious project conducted at Leh entitled ” Efficacy of Ayurveda nutritional supplements and Yoga protocol in the prevention and reduction of the severity of Acute Mountain Sickness: an open-label randomized controlled study”.
She is also an Associate Editor for the CCRAS Bulletin. She is also an expert member for the revision of Nosodes in Homeopathy Pharmacopoeia of India. Her publication include “Evaluation of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis” in the Journal of Public Health and Medical Research.Her areas of interest are Hematology, cytology, Lab Accreditation and Quality Management.
