Research Officer (Ay)
Dr. Azeem Ahmad has completed his B.A.M.S. from State Ayurveda College Varanasi in 2009 and M. D. in Ayurveda (Panchakarma) from Government Ayurveda College Tripunithura, Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur, Kerala in 2014. Started his carrier as assistant professor, panchakarma at Desh Bhagat P.G. school of Ayurveda, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. He joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) in 2017 as Research Officer (Ayurveda) at R.R.A.P. Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Mumbai and currently posted at CCRAS, Headquarters, New Delhi. He had gone through multiple capacity building trainings on Systematic Review & Meta-analysis by different organizations viz. Cochrane South Asia Group at CMC Vellore, Indian Institute of Public Health at New Delhi, Cochrane Interactive Learning, UK, National Collaborating Centre for Method and tool, McMaster University Canada, etc. He had also voluntarily contributed in different Cochrane reviews and gained a membership of Cochrane Collaboration. He had also undergone for 3 months Information Technology training for AYUSH professional at C-DAC, Pune through Ministry of Ayush. He had completed 7 systematic review projects as P-I/Co-I and worked as Nodal Officer for 32 Systematic Review & meta-analysis projects, initiated under Intra Mural Research (IMR) scheme of the Council and working as co-nodal officer for 8 Clinical IMR & collaborative projects. He is also nominated as one of the members of expert group for conducting systematic reviewsfor BIMSTEC Task Force on Traditional Medicine (BTFTM) and also worked as member of core working group of WHO project for developing “Regional Guidelines for Research Methodologies for Traditional Medicine of WHO SEARO Region“. He has published 25 research papers as Author/co-author in different national and international journals, and contributed as technical expert/co-author in 10 books/technical reports published by the Council. He is also serving as reviewer for 7 national and international indexed journals. He is interested in Evidence Synthesis, Scoping review, Systematic Reviews and Evidence Gap Map synthesis, tool development, validation, and Clinical Research Methods for Ayurveda.
