Dr. Deepa Makhija

Dr. Deepa Makhija is currently working as Assistant Director (Ay.) in Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) HQ. She has completed her Post graduation from Govt. Ayurveda College, Trivendrum in Basic Principles of Ayurveda. She has done M.A. in Sanskrit and Diploma in Yoga. She has worked as Assistant Professor for about one & half years at private Ayurvedic Colleges in the Department of Basic Principles

She joined Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences in December 2005 as Research Officer. While working at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Delhi, she was involved as Principal Investigator and Co-investigators in various Intramural & Collaborative research projects such as Iron deficiency anemia, Osteoarthritis, Prakriti, Traditional Knowledge Digital Library, Gout, Snehana, Virechana etc. She is the member of Review Board of the journal JRAS. She has authored and co-authored various research articles and also contributed in drafting clinical research protocols, technical reports and monographs, review of articles.

She is the Programme officer for Fundamental Research and various Research Oriented Public Health Care Programmes of the Council viz. Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Programme (AMHCP) being executed in 15 institutes and Women and Child Health Care Programme(WCH) currently being executed through 10 institutes under Scheduled Cast Sub Plan, Tribal Health Care Programme being executed in 14 institutes under Tribal Sub-Plan. She is programme co-ordinator of Ayurveda Health Centres (Extension OPD) under various institutes of the Council in North East.
