Dr. Jagdish Chandra Arya is currently serving as a Research Officer (Botany) at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. He holds a Ph.D. in Botany from Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand. With over 19 years of extensive research experience, with specializes in plant taxonomy and ethnobotany. His professional expertise includes medicinal plant exploration across the Western and Central Himalayan regions, focusing on the identification, documentation, and conservation of ethnomedicinal flora. He has contributed significantly to the preparation and digitization of herbarium specimens, and the development of botanical museums, playing a key role in preserving traditional knowledge and biodiversity.
