Research Officer (Ay.)
Dr. Jeevan K. is presently working as Research officer (Animal/Experimental pathology) and is the Head of the Pharmacology section at Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Gwalior, CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India since January 2021. His research area of interest is Preclinical Toxicology and Pharmacology, delineating the pathology involved in toxicological and pharmacological effects of Ayurvedic interventions.
He is a postgraduate of M.V.Sc. (Veterinary Pathology) from Veterinary College, Bengaluru, KVAFSU, Karnataka. He is the recipient of University Gold medals for both the graduation and post graduation degrees. He has previously worked as Research Scientist (Pathology) in the Safety Assessment department of Eurofins Advinus, Bengaluru from 2018 to 2021.
In RARI, Gwalior, he is associated with 15 IMR/Collaborative research projects as Principal Investigator/Co-PI/Pathologist and currently has an ICMR Ad-hoc EMR project “Evaluation of intranasal Vacha in rat model of stroke” as Co-Investigator. He supervised research projects of 06 M. Pharm (Pharmacology) students and one Ph.D student.
He has published 7 research publications in indexed journals and has received the STP-I Young Scientist award and STP-I best poster award. He is a life time member of Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists and Society of Toxicologic Pathology, India.
He is a member of Institutional Animal Ethics Committee as Veterinarian In-charge of the Laboratory Animal Facility and also an approved nominee of CCSEA for supervising pre-clinical studies.
