Dr. K.Prameela Devi completed her BAMS from S.V. Ayurvedic College, Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and MD in Prasuti Tantra & Stree Roga from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
She has worked as Lecturer in SDM Ayurveda College, Hassan and also worked in Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Ayurveda College, Tamilnadu. She began her career as Research Officer (Ay) in 2006 at CCRAS, Head quarters, New Delhi and involved in various Clinical Projects like Reproductive and Child Health Programme etc. At present she is working as Research Officer (Ayurveda) at Dr. Achanta Lakshmipathi Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (ALRARI), Chennai,Tamilnadu under Central Council For Research In Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Govt.of India.
She has carried out over 12 Clinical Research Projects as Principal Investigator and Co – Investigator focusing on conditions like Dysmenorrhoea, Osteoarthritis, Geriatric care, Chavana Prasha Rasayana, Aswagandhadi lehyam, Menopausal condition, Postnatal Care in Ayurveda, RCH under Scheduled Caste sub plan. She has been involved in Public Health Research Oriented Programmes such as Swathya Rakshana Programme , Tribal Health Care Research Programme, Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Programme under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan , Study on prophylactic measure among containment Zone population exposed to COVID 19, Ayush 64 for Covid -19 and the impact of Ayush raksha Kit in Covid-19.
She has effectively Coordinated the Poshan Abhiyan programme and organized various awareness Programmes for Anganwadis & School Children under the Mission Vatsalya Scheme. She has published over 25 articles in various National and International journals and contributed 1 book chapter on Filariasis (Published by Springer) & contributed to Technical reports published by CCRAS. Participated in many training programmes and Seminars/Conferences/ Workshops . Her primary research interests are centered on Literary Research, Clinical Research.
