Dr. Kiran Vinayak Kale serves as the Assistant Director (Ayurveda) In charge at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Ahmedabad, under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. She holds an M.D. in Rasa Shastra &Bhaishajya Kalpana from Government Ayurved College, Nagpur.
Her professional journey includes significant roles as a Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the peripheral units of CCRAS, including the M.S. Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Jaipur and the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Nagpur. She has also worked at Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), New Delhi.
Her accomplishments extend to clinical research projects, where she has served as a Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator in clinical trials on Rheumatoid Arthritis, Bronchial Asthma, Hemiplegia, Hypertension, Malaria, Dysmenorrhea, Chronic bronchitis, Dandruff, Eczemaetc. As an investigator, she has effectively implemented Public Health Research Projects like the Tribal Health Care Research Programme, Swasthya Rakshan Programme etc. During her career, she has undergone several training programmes and also attended various seminars and workshops. She has authored several research articles in high-impact journals and also contributed to monographs and technical reports published by CCRAS.
Under her leadership, the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute in Ahmedabad achieved NABH & NABL certification and numerous awards for implementing the official language. She has been instrumental in organizing major events like the Global Ayush Investment Summit 2022 and the WHO -Traditional Medicine Global Summit 2023 etc. Besides administrative duties, she is dedicated to patient care and promoting Ayurveda.
She is also involved in capacity-building initiatives, mentoring junior researchers and encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration. Her vision includes fostering a culture of evidence-based practice within the Ayurvedic community, emphasizing both traditional wisdom and modern scientific rigour.
