Dr. Kousik Ghosh is currently working as a Research Officer (Chemistry), at Captain Srinivasa Murthy Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CSMCARI), Chennai, CCRAS, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. His roles and responsibilities mainly include performing various research projects, testing NABL/DTL samples, and overall management of the chemistry department. He completed his M.Sc. (Chemistry) degree from the University of Delhi and his PhD degree from Jadavpur University, Jadavpur, Kolkata, West Bengal. After completing his doctorate, he joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences(CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, in the year 2022, as a Research Officer (Chemistry)at Captain Srinivasa Murthy Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CSMCARI), Chennai. His research focused on the isolation of marker compounds from various medicinal plants and the development of quality standards, SOPs, and pharmacopeial Standards for ASU Drugs. He has been actively involved in various research projects as Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator, and Co-investigator. He has published more than 26 research papers in various peer-reviewed International/National Journals. He has participated in various training programs viz NABL “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories” as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017, CME training program, etc. He has also participated in several International/National Seminars/Conferences/Workshops.
