Dr. Krishna Kumar.V is currently working as Research Officer (Ayurveda.) at National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma, Cheruthuruthy, which is a peripheral institute under, Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. His roles and responsibilities mainly include execution of IMR/ Collaborative projects, mainly related to Ayurveda Ophthalmology and Otorhinolarygology.

He completed his BAMS with first rank and MS(Ayu) in Shalakya Tantra (Ayurveda Ophthalmology) from Govt. Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram. He pursued Ph.D. (Ayurveda) degree from Gujarat Ayurved University of Rajasthan, Jamnagar (Gujarat). He started his career as Research Officer (Ayurveda.) in Regional Ayurveda Research Institute for Eye Diseases, Lucknow, another peripheral unit under CCRAS in the year 2017, having experience in development of IMR projects related to Age related Macular Degeneration and Collaborative project with King George Medical University, Lucknow related to CoVID-19. 

He joined the National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma, Cheruthuruthy in the year 2020.  His research focused on collaborative project with Institute for Communicative and Cognitive Neurosciences (ICCONS), Shoranur, related to ayurvedic management of Age related sensori neural hearing loss. He is also collaborating with Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam to develop an automatic device for doing topical oil pooling in ears. He has been actively involved in IMR/Collaborative Research projects as Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator viz completed: more than 10 & on-going: more than 5 projects.

He has participated in various training programmes viz Systematic Reviews and Meta analysis, Good clinical Practices, Clinical trials, and Peer review process. Further, he has organized NABH, and CME Programmes etc.

He has published more than 28 research papers in International / National Journals, Additionally; he has also presented 15 scientific papers in International Seminar/Conference, and attended more than 20 Seminar/Workshop.

He is a reviewer for more than 6 International /National Journals and Member of Editorial/ Advisory Board for 2 journals. He has reviewed more than 65 research papers in International / National Journals. He has supervised one student for Ph.D. He also holds Membership in Associations like Life member of The Association of Shalakis, and member of Ayurveda Medical Association of India.
