Dr. Kuldeep R. Choudhary is a Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, currently posted at RRAP – Central Ayurveda Research Institute (RRAP-CARI), Mumbai. He completed his B.A.M.S. from the College of Ayurveda & Research Centre, Akurdi, Pune (MUHS, Nashik) in 2005 and obtained his M.D. in Ayurveda Pediatrics from the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, in 2011.
With over 15 years of clinical experience in Ayurveda Pediatrics, he has substantial expertise in pediatric clinical practice and integrative research. Prior to joining CCRAS in 2017, he served as Assistant Professor (2011–2016) and Associate Professor (2016–2017) at Sri Satya Sai Murlidhar Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Moga, Punjab.
As a researcher, he is currently working on eight projects as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator for three projects including studies on Swarna Prashan in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Ayurvedic management of anemia and malnutrition in EMRS students, respiratory disorders in children and others. He has successfully completed six projects as Principal Investigator and five as Co-Investigator, including systematic reviews, pharmaco-epidemiological studies, KAP surveys, and clinical trials. He played an active role in nationally significant COVID-19 research initiatives, including clinical trials on AYUSH-64 and Ashwagandha as prophylaxis among healthcare workers. Additionally, he served as Principal Coordinator in the WHO–PHFI–AYUSH collaborative project on integration of AYUSH into the public health system during COVID-19.
He is the Group Coordinator of the CCRAS Focus Group on Research in Reproductive and Child Health (RCH), with special emphasis on pediatric research. His academic contributions include over 25 peer-reviewed scientific publications in national and international journals. He serves as a reviewer for reputed peer reviewed journals including the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (JAIM), Plos One, Advances in Integrative Medicine, AYU, and Journal of Ayurveda.
His research interests center on Pediatric Integrative Oncology, neurodevelopmental disorders, Swarna Prashana and Ayurveda-based public health interventions.
