Dr Lalita Sharma is Research Officer (Ayurveda) at Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), New Delhi. She has completed her B.AM.S. in 2011 and M.D. Ayurveda in 2015 from State Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Lucknow under University of Lucknow, Lucknow. She served as Resident Medical Officer at State Ayurvedic College & Hospital Lucknow in the year 2011-2012. She started her career as an Assistant Professor at Shri Ramchandra Vaidya Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Lucknow in 2016. During her graduation, she was awarded for best performance in Ayurveda gynaecology, obstetrics and paediatrics. She has presented paper in various International and National Seminars/ Conferences. She has obtained Best paper presentation award in a national seminar organized by All India Sharir Research institute Lucknow and SV Ayurveda College, Tirupati in the year 2013 at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
She has been contributing in the field of Ayurvedic research at CCRAS since 2017. She is actively involved into various IMR and Collaborative Clinical and Fundamental Researches at CCRAS. She has worked on developing Council’s Standardized Prakriti Assessment Scale and AYUR Prakriti Web Portal and is coordinating Trainings to Ayurveda Stakeholders from across the country on Prakriti Assessment Scale and AYUR Prakriti Web Portal. She is a member of various committees at CCRAS. Her publications include research papers in indexed journals and chapters in books. She is also a reviewer in indexed journals. She has undergone 3 months Information Technology Training for Ayush Professionals at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Pune. Her research is focussed on generating evidence base on the Principles of Ayurveda with scientific reasoning and facts. Her area of research includes emerging biomedical field relying on multi-disciplinary systems biology approach and tools like ‘omics’ technologies for paving the way towards personalized medicine.
