Dr. Deepika Tewari, M.D (Ayurveda), Kayachikitsa, is working as Research Officer (Ayurveda) In-charge at Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, Agartala under Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India from 29.04.2024.
Dr Deepika Tewari started her journey in Ayurveda with a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from Government Autonomous Ashtang Ayurveda college Indore. She furthered her expertise by completing her Master’s in the Kayachikitsa branch of Ayurveda at the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Throughout her service career, Dr. Deepika Tewari has hold various academic positions also in Vaidya Yagya Dutta Sharma Ayurveda College, Khurja, UP, just before joining the CCRAS. After selection in CCRAS, she left this college and at that time she was working as a Reader.
She started her journey in CCRAS by joining at the RARI, Lucknow, peripheral institute of CCRAS on 23.09.2009. After that she has served various institute of CCRAS; ACRC, Faridkot, Punjab, CCRAS New Delhi, RARI Lucknow, and RARI, Patna. During their tenure she also served Traditional Knowledge Digital Library, Ghaziabad, UP.
She worked as Principal investigator and Co-Investigator in various clinical and Public Health Research Projects (Outreach Projects). IMR projects on Rheumatoid Arthritis (Amavata), Irritable bowel syndrome (Grahani), Gout (Vatarakta) were some important. Public Health Research Projects SRP, THCRP, SCSP and WCH were outreach projects wherein she served as Principal investigator or Co-Investigator. During her career, she has undergone several training programmes and also attended various seminars and workshops. She has authored several research articles in various journals and also contributed to monographs and technical reports.
Her vision is to promote a culture of evidence-based practice within the Ayurvedic community, emphasizing both traditional wisdom and modern scientific rigor.
