| Dr. Lijima C, a native of Kannur district, Kerala, holds a B.A.M.S. and M.S. (Ay.), and has completed Ph.D. in Prasuti Tantra and Stree Roga from Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), Jamnagar, Gujarat. With over 14 years of clinical experience, she specializes in Ayurvedic Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with particular expertise in female infertility, preconceptional and antenatal care, reproductive health, and other gynaecological conditions. She has academic teaching experience in Ayurveda and has co-authored the book “Ayurvedic Practical Prescriber” with the legend Late Dr. L. Mahadevan. Her scholarly contributions include numerous scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, and she regularly serves as a reviewer for several indexed Ayurveda journals. Working as Research Officer (Ayurveda) at Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Gangtok, since 01 March 2023, Dr. Lijima C currently serves as the Member Secretary of the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) of the institute. Since 2024, she has also been the Associate Editor of CCRAS Bulletin, a publication of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences. She has presented papers at various national and international seminars, conferences, and webinars, and has conducted public awareness sessions on reproductive health and antenatal care. She is currently engaged in research aimed at integrating Ayurveda into public health initiatives. |
