Dr. Lingesh Allakonda

Dr. Lingesh Allakonda is currently working as Research officer (Pharmacology), at Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Central council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences since February 2021. His research area of interest is studying the role and delineating mechanism of action of Ayurvedic interventions in management of cognitive impairment associated with cerebral ischemia, traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer’s Disease.

He has pursued his M.S. (Pharm.) Pharmacology from NIPER-Guwahati and Ph.D. from NIPER-Hyderabad. He has previous work experience as Research Scientist at Advinus Therapeutics Pvt. Ltd. In the department of Drug Metabolism Pharmacokinetics & Clinical Pharmacology for 2.5 years and as Assistant professor at G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad for 3.5 years.

He is associated with 12 IMR/Collaborative research projects as Principal Investigator/Co-PI and currently has ICMR Ad-hoc EMR project “Evaluation of intranasal Vacha in rat model of stroke” as Principal Investigator. He supervised research projects of 08 M.Pharm (Pharmacology) students.  

He has published 20 research papers and authored 02 book chapters in Scopus indexed journals and reviewer of 05 indexed journals. He is life time member of Academy of cardiovascular sciences and is an approved nominee of CCSEA for supervising pre-clinical studies.
