Dr.Neethu Kesavanis currently working as a Research officer (Ayurveda) at Regional Ayurveda Research Institute for Mineral and Marine Medicinal Resources, Goa (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Her key responsibilities include involving in Intramural Research (IMR), Extramural Research (EMR), and collaborative projects undertaken by the institute. She is also actively engaged in patient consultation at the Outpatient Department (OPD), coordinates the Panchakarma Unit for administering various therapeutic procedures, and oversees the institute’s activities related to National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) accreditation.
She obtained her Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree in 2013 from Government Ayurveda College, Kannur, Kerala, followed by a postgraduate specialization in Shalakyatantra from Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) in 2017. She earned her Ph.D. from the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, Jamnagar, Gujarat. Her professional journey began in 2018 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Shalakyatantra at Vishnu Ayurveda College, Shoranur, Kerala.
In 2021, she joined CCRASas aResearch Officer (Ayurveda)at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Patiala, Punjab, where she contributed to various clinical research initiatives.
She has undergone specialized training programs in several domains, including ‘Research Integrity and Publication Ethics’ conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Centre for Publication Ethics (CPE) & Centre for Complementary and Integrative Health (CCIH), and NABH 2nd Edition Standards for Ayurveda Hospitals by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers. She has also been trained in the WHO’s Global Benchmarking Tools for Ethical Committees Quality Functioning by FERCI-FERCAP and participated in ICMRtraining onEthics Guidelines for Biomedical & Health Research involving Human Participants. Additionally, she has coordinated numerous NABH-related training sessions for hospital staff.
Dr. Neethu has authored more than 14 research papers in various international and national peer-reviewed journals and has presented over 7 scientific papers at international and national seminars and conferences. She has participated in more than 60 seminars and workshops.
She serves as an Associate Editor of the CCRAS-Research Bulletin and is a reviewer for two UGC-CARE-listed journals. Additionally, she is a lifetime member of professional associations such as The Association of Shalakai (TAS)and theAyurveda Medical Association of India (AMAI).
