Dr Parth P. Dave started his journey in Ayurveda with a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from Government Ayurved College, Junagadh, Gujarat. He furthered his expertise by completing his Master’s and PhD in the Shalakyatantra branch of Ayurveda at the Institute for Post Graduate Teaching & Research in Ayurveda (IPGT&RA), now known as ITRA, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, in 2017.
Since 2017, he has been serving as a Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS). In this role, He has handled Intramural Research (IMR) and collaborative projects, including clinical trials on COVID-19, allergic rhinitis, eczema, osteoarthritis, and geriatric care, among others, as well as systematic review projects as an investigator. Currently, he is working as an investigator in a multicentric Ayurveda Lifestyle Advocacy Project, a collaborative project with ICMR in EMR Schools and the SMART- psoriasis project. He has attended numerous capacity-building trainings in systematic reviews, epidemiology, and scientific writing. He has actively attended and presented at numerous national and international workshops and conferences. He has been invited to deliver guest lectures in training programs for Assistant Professors, Professors, and Medical Officers, sharing his expertise and insights with fellow professionals. He is a lifetime member of “The Association of Shalaki (TAS)” and the “Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA)”.
He has published more than 15 research articles as an author/co-author in international peer-reviewed, indexed journals, and he has also served as a peer reviewer for several esteemed publications. He received the Best Research Paper Award (for literary research in the field of Ayurveda) from CCRAS, Ministry of Ayush, as a co-author in 2019.
His research interests are particularly focused on ENT and dental conditions, the integration of information technology in Ayurveda, and systematic reviews.
