Parvathy G. Nair completed her Bachelor’s Degree (BAMS) from Alvas Ayurveda Medical College, Moodbidri, Karnataka, in 2011, and post-graduation in Dravyaguna Vigyana from Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, in 2015. She began her career with the Central Council of Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) in 2017 as Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma (NARIP), Cheruthuruthy, Kerala. In 2019, she served at the Central Ayurveda Research Institute for Drug Development in Kolkata, West Bengal, and is currently posted at NARIP, Cheruthuruthy. She is actively engaged in drug standardization and medicinal plant research and is currently the Principal Investigator for five IMR/collaborative projects under CCRAS. She has experience in medico-ethnobotanical surveys and has also participated in public outreach programs such as AMHCP-SCSP and RCH-SCSP. She has completed various capacity-building trainings, including Ayurinformatics at Savitribai Phule University, Pune, and one-month Information Technology training for AYUSH professionals at C-DAC, Pune, facilitated by the Ministry of Ayush. She has authored/co-authored 20 research papers in national and international journals and contributed five book chapters to esteemed publishers like Elsevier, Springer, and Bentham. Additionally, she authored the book Clinical Application of Rasayana in Modern Times, published by Arya Vaidya Shala Publications, Kottakal. She has also presented papers in various National and International seminars.
