Dr. P. Srinivas completed his BAMS,from Dr. NRS Government Ayurveda Medical College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, & M.D. in Kayachikitsa from Dr. BRKR Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Hyderabad, under NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He currently serves as a Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the Dr. Achanta Lakshmipathi Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (ALRARI) in Chennai, a key institution under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
His career with CCRAS began in 2006. Over the years, he has held various significant positions, including Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the Central Research Institute (CRI) in Bhuvaneswar, Cheruthurthy, and ALRCA Chennai. Notably, he served as the Research Officer In-charge at RARI Nagaland, where he played a crucial role in establishing the unit. Additionally, he contributed his expertise as a Medical Officer (Ayurveda) at Wellington General Hospital in Nilgiri, Tamil Nadu, for six months under the military/cantonment board.
He has led 14 research projects as Principal Investigator and contributed to 11 as Co-Investigator, focusing on conditions such as Pakshghata (stroke), Vyanabalavaishamya (cardiac conditions), Arshas (hemorrhoids), Iron deficiency anaemia, Chyavanaprasah Rasayana, Ashwagandha Rasayana, Diabetes Mellitus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Amajeerna (Digestive Disorders), Yuvan pidika etc. Noteworthy projects include clinical trials of Ayush 64 for COVID-19, the WHO study on integrating AYUSH into the public health system for COVID-19, and the impact of Ayuraksha Kit in COVID-19. He is also engaged in public health projects, including Tribal Health Care and Scheduled Caste Research Programs, and has played key roles in events like Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He has published over 30 research articles and participated in 50+ seminars and conferences. His contributions have earned him several awards, including the ‘Best Physician’ award from Dabur India Limited (2008) and the ‘Young Scientist’ award from SV University, Tirupati (2010).
