Dr. Ranjita Ekka has completed BAMS from Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Puri, MD from Banaras Hindu University and PhD in Ayurveda from Dr. SRRA University Jodhpur. She has joined as Research Officer (Ayurveda) under Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, New Delhi in March 2017. She is presently working as Research Officer (Ayurveda) Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata. Her role and responsibilities are attending OPD and IPD in Hospital including clinical and survey research projects and various work allotted by the institute from time to time like Ayurveda day, Yoga day, Poshan Maah, Swachhata programme, various health camps /exhibition/mela etc. at CARI, Kolkata since 2019.
She joined CCRAS in the year 2017 at Central Ayurveda Research Institute Guwahati. Before joining CCRAS she had worked in various colleges as lecturer, SKSS AMC&H, Sarabha, Ludhiana, Punjab for 6 months, NAMC Ayurveda Medical College, Mujaffarpur Bihar for 11 months and KATS Govt. Ayurveda Medical College, Ankushpur, Ganjam, Odisha for 3 years.
She is actively involved in IMR and Outreach projects as principle investigator/co-investigator. She has completed around 10 IMR clinical projects which includes A prospective non- randomized open label controlled interventional study on the effect of GuduchiGhanVati/ Sudarshan GhanVati as a prophylactic measure among containment zone population exposed to COVID 19, A prospective community based study for the evaluation of PunarnavaMandura in the Management of Anemia (Pandu) under Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Programme Under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan, Integration of AYUSH System of Medicine within the National Health System to Combat COVID -19, Profiling of Demography, health status and Non communicable Diseases among Scheduled Caste population in selected states across India- A descriptive, Cross sectional Epidemiological study” in Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Programme Under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan, Project-Cross sectional survey to determine the prevalence of Non-communicable Diseases and their risk factors among schedule castes in selected state across India under AMHCP-SCSP, A randomized placebo-controlled trial of AYUSH SR in Perceived stress, Effectiveness of Ayush Rasayana A & B on Quality of Life of elderly population- A as principle investigator. She also completed project as co-investigator like Implementation and Initiation of Pharmacoepidemiological studies(retrospective and prospective) on safety and effectivenessof Ayurveda formulation at CARI Guwahati, Clinical evaluation of Indukanta Ghrita and Trayodasanga Guggulu in the Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis Vis-à-vis Amavata, Clinical evaluation of Eladichurna and Drakhsaristain the Management of Kasa (Stable Chronic Bronchitis) etc. She has worked as Principle investigator of project Ayurveda mobile health care programme under schedule castes sub plan and reproductive and child health programme at Guwahati and Kolkata CCRAS centre.
She has participated in more than 20 health/Arogya melas/National exhibition and heath check up camps from time to time. She has appeared for Radio Akashvani program for several time during COVID period.
She has performed city coordinator and centre observer duty for AIAPGET exam several times. She has given 6 training program on various occasion. She has participated in more than 10 various training programme and attended more than 40 National and International seminars. She has also presented paper and appeared for guest lecture for more than 10 times. She has published around 15 papers in different National and International journals. She has also actively participated in organising various workshop/ conference at Institute.
