Dr. Rohit Kumar Ravte graduated in Ayurveda from Government Ayurveda College, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh (1992) under Awadesh Pratap Singh Vishwavidyalaya. He pursued his M.D. (Ayurveda) in Vikriti Vigyan from the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, Rajasthan (1997), affiliated with the University of Rajasthan. He possesses 6 years of teaching experience and over 20 years of clinical research experience. He began his academic career as a Lecturer at S.K.S. Sarabha Ayurveda Medical College, Ludhiana, Punjab, and later at M.S.M. Mahila Ayurveda College, Khanpurkalan, Sonepat, Haryana.
Dr. Rohit Kumar Ravte joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, in December 2005 as a Research Officer (Ayurveda). Since then, he has held several key positions across different CCRAS institutes: Research Officer (Ayurveda) & In-charge, RARI, Junagadh, Gujarat(01.12.2006 02.12.2007), Research Officer (Ayurveda), IARD, Ahmedabad (03.12.2007-30.10.2008), Research Officer (Ayurveda), NRIADD, Kolkata (01.11.2008 – 05.09.2020), Research Officer In-charge, Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, Agartala, Tripura (31.10.2020 – 12.04.2024), Research Officer In-charge, Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Patna, Bihar (30.06.2024 onwards)
Research Contributions: Investigator for projects on Vyanabal Vaishamya, Kitibha (Psoriasis), and Mutraashmari (Urinary Calculus).Co-coordinator for the Pharmacovigilance program.Principal Investigator for Intra-Mural Research (IMR) projects on Obesity (Sthaulya), Brahma Rasayana, Amavata (Rheumatoid Arthritis), and Kasa (Chronic Bronchitis).Co-Investigator for IMR on Osteopenia (Osteoporosis).Principal Investigator for Outreach Projects including Ayurveda Health Centres (AHC) under the NE program, Women & Child Healthcare Project, and as Co-Investigator in the Tribal Health Care Research Project. Principal Investigator in the development of Prakriti and Health Assessment Tools under CCRAS Fundamental Research.
Academic & Administrative Achievements: Authored and co-authored more than 31 research publications. Coordinated and organized webinars, workshops (Karyashalas), and training programs. Played a key role in administrative leadership, ensuring smooth functioning of the Institute. Successfully obtained NABL accreditation for the laboratories of the Institute on 13.03.2023.
Dr. Ravte continues to contribute to clinical research, academic development, and institutional strengthening in Ayurveda with dedication and leadership.
