Dr. Saniya C K, Research Officer (Ayurveda) is currently working in Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), Thiruvananthapuram. She has 6 years of experience in Ayurvedic Research with special focus on Preventive Ayurveda, Life style disorders, Integrative cancer care, Yoga, Dietetics and Public health. She is an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), where she pursued her PhD in the Department of Kayachikitsa during 2019-22 on radiation-induced mucositis, in collaboration with the Department of Radiation Oncology, Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU. She completed her MD in Swasthavritta & Yoga from Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala University of Health Sciences in 2017 with First Rank. She completed BAMS from Govt Ayurveda college, Kannur Kannur University, Kerala in 2012. She also possesses Diploma in Yoga from BHU and has attended 5 Certificate courses from different Universities.

She began her career as an Assistant Professor at Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam & Vidyapeedham, Palakkad and later joined CCRAS, New Delhi in 2021. She has authored/co-authored more than 12 research papers in various journals and is a reviewer of 4 journals. She has attended various National and international events and presented papers in many venues. Her papers were adjudged as best paper in 9^th World Ayurveda Congress and 5^th Global Ayurveda Fest. She was the winner of ‘Jeevanam-2016’, a national-level presentation competition, conducted by The Malayala Manorama. She functioned as the co-investigator in four Intra-Mural Research (IMR) projects and completed one IMR project as Principal investigator. She is currently the Principal Investigator of three ongoing IMR projects and one Public health out-reach activity on ‘Women and Child health project’ under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan, Ministry of AYUSH.
