Dr. Sanjay Kumar Giri is currently working as Research Officer (Ayurveda) at Central Ayurveda Research Centre (CARI), Bengaluru. His roles and responsibilities mainly include as Principal Investigator, Co –Investigator, Nodal Officer and Co-ordinator of various IMR, collaborative projects, Outreach activities, attending OPD and IPD patients, working as member in other institutional committees.
He has completed his BAMS from Government Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Puri under Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha in the year 1992. He has completed post graduation M.D (Ayurveda) in Kayachikitsa from Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha in the year 1997.
Dr. S.K. Giri started his courier as Lecturer in the department of Kayachikitsa and Panchakarma in the year 1998 at NKJ Ayurvedic Medical College and PG centre, Bidar, Karnataka under RGUHS, Bangalore. In the year 2002 promoted as Assistant Professor in the department of Kayachikitsa and Panchakarma. He was recognised guide in Panchakarma under RGUHS, Bangalore in the year 2005 and guided PG scholars in panchakarma.
In the year 2006 February he joined as Research Officer (Ayurveda) in Centre Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India and posted at RARI, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh for a period of 1 year 8 months, posted and served as Research Officer (Ayurveda) at CARI, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha for a period of 2 years, NADRI, Bengaluru, Karnataka for a period of 8 years, RARILSD, Trivendrum, Kerala for a period of 1 year 8 months and presently he is working as Research Officer (Ayurveda) at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Bengaluru since February 2020. His research area focused on Rasayana Chikitsa, Geriatrics, Vata Vyadhi and Outreach activities.
He is actively involved in IMR/Collaborative projects, Outreach activities, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav as Principal Investigator/Co – Investigator/Co-ordinator/Nodal officer. He has completed 8 projects as Principal Investigator and 7 projects as Co- investigator. He has reviewed 5 Manuscripts of Journal of Research in Ayurveda Sciences (JRAS).
He has participated in various training programmes like Research Methodology, Scientific writings, Investigators of IMR projects, Public Health research programme, Good Clinical Practice, NABH, Drug Development of ASU, NAMASTE portal and Fire safety etc.
He has published more than 43 papers in National and International journals. He has also participating and presented papers in National and International conferences/seminars/workshops and National Arogya Expo.
