Dr. Shyam Babu Singh is currently serving as a Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, based in New Delhi. He joined the Council on January 27, 2017, beginning his career at RRAP CARIC in Mumbai, before transferring to RARI Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where he continues to work. Dr. Singh obtained his B.A.M.S. degree from the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) in Jaipur. He further pursued his M.D. and Ph.D. in Kriya Sharir (Ayurveda Physiology) from the P.G. Department of Kriya Sharir at NIA Jaipur.
With over seven years of experience in both clinical and fundamental research, Dr. Singh has successfully completed nine (09) research projects as Principal Investigator and five as Co-Investigator. He is currently engaged in four ongoing research projects and has previously coordinated the Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centers (PpVC) for four years. Dr. Singh has authored 22 publications in esteemed journals and contributed two book chapters. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for five UGC care-listed journals, including the Indian Journal of Traditional Knowledge (IJTK), published by CSIR. He has actively participated in more than 30 national and international seminars and workshops. As a Master Trainer of the CCRAS Prakriti Assessment Scale, Dr. Shyam Babu Singh has trained over 160 faculty members from various Government Ayurveda colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
