“Dr. Shyam Kale is currently serving as a Research Officer (Ayurveda) at the RRAP–Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Mumbai, under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. He specializes in Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine) and has been contributing to Ayurvedic research and clinical advancement since 2017.
He earned his B.A.M.S. degree from Government Ayurveda College, Nanded, Maharashtra, in 2009 and completed his M.D. in Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine) from Shree Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, Maharashtra, in 2014. Before joining CCRAS, Dr. Kale worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Kayachikitsa at Dr. Vedprakash Patil Ayurved College, Jalna, from 2015 to 2016, where he actively engaged in teaching and clinical practice.
At CCRAS, Dr. Kale has led and contributed to several research projects. He successfully handled an SRP Project as Principal Investigator from 2018 to 2020 and has also led an SCSP Project for two years in the same capacity. Additionally, he served as a Co-Investigator for another SCSP Project for two years and is presently involved in four ongoing research projects as Co-Investigator. His work primarily focuses on Ayurvedic management of cancer and chronic disorders, contributing to evidence-based clinical research.
Dr. Kale has authored and co-authored five research papers published in reputed national and international journals. He also serves as a reviewer for CCRAS journals and other research initiative programs, supporting the academic and scientific growth of Ayurveda. His core areas of expertise include Kayachikitsa, clinical research methodology, Ayurvedic cancer care, and integrative approaches to chronic diseases.”
