Dr. Sinimol. T.P is currently working as Research officer (Ayurveda), at Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI) Thiruvananthapuram, under Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, New Delhi. Her assigned roles and responsibilities mainly include: investigator of various research projects, OPD and IPD duties of the institute.
She completed BAMS from Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda college, Ollur, Kerala and MD (Ayurveda) in Dravyagunvijnan from Govt. Ayurveda college, Trivandrum, Kerala. She started her career in 2012 as Lecturer in Basic principles of Ayurveda at Govt. Ayurveda college, Thrippunithura. She joined Ahalia Ayurveda college, Palakkad as Assistant Professor (Dravyagunvijnan) in 2013 and continued till 2015.
She joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayushin the year 2017, as Research Officer (Ayurveda) at Regional Research Centre of Ayurveda (RRCA), at Port blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and served as the institute in charge also there. Then, she joined Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI) Thiruvananthapuram in 2018.
Her research focused on health- related demography of Scheduled tribe (ST) and Scheduled Caste (SC) population in whole and specifically women and child of SC population, clinical, literary and pharmacological studies. She has been actively involved in IMR/Collaborative Research projects as Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator viz completed 24 & on-going 6 projects.
She has participated in various training programmes viz. training programme for Ayush doctors in public health, Orientation training on Research management and Personality development, Organisation Specific Training Programme for CCRAS, Training programme for newly recruited Research Officers of CCRAS in proposal writing for grant submission and report writing at IIPH, New Delhi, Training programme for Master trainers on Standardised Prakriti assessment scale and AYUR- Prakriti assessment software, medicinal plant Research Training, SPARROW, procurement through GeM Portal etc. Further, she also imparted trainings on ‘Conservation & management of Medicinal Plant wealth – Ethno botanical knowledge of settlers in A&N Islands’, prevention of common ailments including Diabetes Mellitus through AYUSH Systems, Training for research officers on Standardised Prakriti assessment scale and AYUR- Prakriti assessment software.etc.
She has published about 31 research papers in International / National Journals and 01 Book Chapter in International Book. Additionally, she has also presented 23 Scientific papers in International Seminar/Conference, organized more than 5 Seminar/ Conference/ Workshop/ Webinars and attended more than 40 Seminar/Workshop. She is a reviewer for about 5 International /National Journals. She also holds Membership in Associations like Life member of Kerala Academy of Sciences (KAS). She has received Dridabala award for ‘First international essay competition 2020’ on ‘Health and Ayurveda’ conducted by Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, Jamnagar and Charaka Samhitha Research, Training and skill Development Centre (CSRTDC).
