Dr. Srikanth Ala, Research Officer (Pharmacology) presently works as research officer (Pharmacology) in NARIP, Cheruthuruthy, Kerala, Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi. He joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush in the year 2017, as Research Officer (Pharmacology) at National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma, Cheruthuruthy, Kerala (Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences).

He worked as Assistant Professor in different institutions for 6 years and pursued his Ph.D in pharmaceutical sciences on December ,2017 from JNTUA University,Anantapuramu.

His research interests includes Neuropharmacology, Neurodegenerative disorders  Screening methods used for Neuro-musculoskeletal disorders, diabetes and its complications, arthritis, inflammation and analgesic activites.

He has been working in the area of safety and efficacy of ayurvedic single drugs and formulations. His roles and responsibilities mainly include co-ordination of IMR/EMR/Collaborative projects required for drug development. He has also been actively involved in IMR/EMR/Collaborative Research projects as Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator and completed more than 15 projects.

He has published more than 15 research/review articles in national/international journals.  He has also participated in several scientific events/seminars & presented paper in more than 10 National/International Events and serving as reviewer for various Journals like Journal of Ethnopharmacology,Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology. He is also acting as a CCSEA nominee for different institutions in Kerala. He also holds Membership in Associations like Life member of Indian Pharmacological Society, Society of Toxicology, and Laboratory Animal Scientists Association (LASA).
