Dr. Sunita

Dr Sunita is holding the post of Research Officer (Ayurveda) in Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) HQ. She earned her post graduate degree MD(Ay) from prestigious National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur.

While posted at RARI Jammu in the capacity of Research officer (Ay) she had worked on the clinical research projects on Urolithiasis, Psoriasis and Iron deficiency anemia. She has worked in the capacity of nodal officer for Intramural & Collaborative research projects on Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis and Migraine etc. Her 17 years of work experience in the field of Ayurveda Research includes drafting of various research protocols, review of research proposals received under various schemes, review of several scientific articles. She is the member of Review Board of the journal JRAS. She has authored and co-authored various research articles and also contributed in drafting technical reports, Comprehensive Technical Dossier on Medicinal plants and books published by CCRAS.

She is the nodal officer for various Research Oriented Public Health Care Programmes of the Council viz. Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Programme (AMHCP) being executed in 15 institutes and Women and Child Health Care Programme(WCH) currently being executed through 10 institutes under Scheduled Cast Sub Plan .She is also looking after the Work Related to co-ordination of Ayurveda Health Centres (Extension OPD) under various institutes of the Council in North East .
