Dr. Susmita Mondal is currently working as Assistant Research Officer (Chemistry) at CCRAS-CARI Kolkata. Her roles and responsibilities mainly include the handling of various research projects related to the drug development, standardization, pharmaceutical research and isolation of markers. She is also actively associated with the various activities of the NABL ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 accredited laboratory of CARI, Kolkata as Quality Analyst.
She obtained her Ph.D (Chemistry) and Msc degree from VisvaBharati University, West Bengal in the year 2019 and 2015 respectively. Her doctoral research work mainly focused on the development of various novel routes for the synthesis and as well as functionalization of different bioactive heterocycles using commercially available starting materials. She joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Science (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush in the year of 2020, as Research Assiatant (Chemistry) at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata. She has published more than 35 research articles in international journals and 02 book chapters. She has presented more than 10 research articles in seminars/webinars and attended more than 25 seminars, workshops and trainings.
