Dr Swamy C T is currently working as a Research Officer (Microbiology) in Captain Srinivasa Murthy Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Chennai. His roles and responsibilities primarily include serving as the Head of Department of Microbiology (HOD), handling projects, Conducting Microbial limit test analysis of Ayurvedic samples, DTL samples, and providing an overview of samples processed in the department. He completed his M.Sc. and PhD (Microbiology) degrees from the Davangere University of Rajasthan, Davanagere (Karnataka). He joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, in 2021 as a Research Officer (Microbiology) at the Captain Srinivasa Murthy Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CSMCARI), Chennai. His research focused on Anti-microbial evaluation of Ayurvedic formulations against pathogenic bacteria, Isolation and identification of endophytes and their role as antimicrobials, novel antimicrobial compounds, and contributing to the development of quality standards (microbiology) for ASU Drugs. He has been actively involved in IMR Research projects as a Principal Investigator, having completed one project and one ongoing project. Being a Co-Investigator, completed: 3 & on-going: 4 projects. He has participated in various training programs, such as NABL training on ISO/IEC 17025:2017. He has coordinated CME programs and been involved in practical sessions for every CME program. He has published more than 16 research papers in international and national journals, as well as 22 Book Chapters in national and international books. Additionally, he has presented five scientific papers at international seminars/conferences and attended five seminars/workshops. He is a reviewer for more than six international and national journals. He also holds Membership in Associations, such as a Life member of the Indian Science Congress.
