Dr. V. C. Deep has graduated from Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College, Ollur and his post-graduation was from Govt. Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram in Basic Principles (Ayurveda Siddhanta & Darsana)). He also secured Diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy from Alva’s College of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences, Moodbidri, Karnataka.

            He started his career as lecturer at Alva’s Ayurveda College, Moodbidri, Karnataka. Later he served as Asst. Production Manager at Oushadhi Thrissur, Tutor at V.P.S.V. Ayurveda College Kottakkal, Lecturer at Ayurveda College, Coimbatore. He joined as Asst. Research Officer (Ay.) at C.R.I (Ay.), Bhubaneswar of CCRAS. Then worked at NARIP, Cheruthuruthy as Research Officer (Ay.). He was promoted as Asst. Director (Ay.) In-charge and worked at RARIUD, Jammu. Presently, working as Asst. Director (Ay.)  at NARIP, Cheruthuruthy.

            He has published 23 articles as author/co-author. He has written 39 general articles. He published two books in Malayalam (Seelikkendathum Varjikkendathum and Ayushkameeyam). He has presented more than 130 papers in various seminars. He has worked as Programme Officer/Co-ordinator (Training) of Re-Orientation Training Programme in Panchakarma Therapy/CCPT (3 months) for 39 batches. He tried to popularise modern Technique of Siravyadha and Agnikarma. He took a pivotal role in preparation of CD on Panchakarma & Raktamoksha. He worked as Principal / Co- Investigator in various Clinical Research Projects at Bhubaneshwar, Jammu and Cheruthuruthy.

            He received Best Paper presentation Award at WORLD HERBO EXPO 2004 at Bhopal. He was selected for Malaysian tour from Dept. of AYUSH to conduct seminars, exhibitions etc. to popularize Ayurveda during October 2011. Appraisal was received from Shri.Shripad Yessoh Naik, AYUSH Minister, Govt. of India in presence of Prof. Vaid. K.S.Dheeman, Director General, CCRAS for the valuable service rendered for the Institute. He received Vaidyabhooshanam Sri. Raghavan Thirumulpad puraskar during the year November 2017 for the contribution towards Ayurveda.
