Dr Vidyashree Anchan is currently working as a Research Officer (Pathology) at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Bengaluru, under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, New Delhi. Her roles and responsibilities mainly include execution of IMR/EMR/Collaborative projects, management of NABL-accredited In-house Clinical laboratory, coordination of radiological section, and conduction of Outreach surveys and projects.
She completed her MBBS degree from Dr B.R Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore, MD in Pathology from SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Dharwad, and a post-doctoral fellowship in Transfusion Medicine from NIMHANS, Bangalore. She started her career as Assistant Professor and Blood Bank Officer at East Point College of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Bangalore, having experience in teaching undergraduates, nursing and paramedical students along with extending services at the hospital including hematology, cytopathology, histopathology laboratory, and Blood Bank.
She joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, in the year 2021 as a Research Officer (Pathology) at Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Bengaluru. Her work focused on developing Clinical Laboratory and Hospital through NABL and NABH accreditation. She has been actively involved in IMR/EMR/Collaborative Research projects as Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator on pharmacological and clinical studies and outreach projects.
She has participated in various training programmes viz Quality Management System and Internal Auditor Training Course as per ISO 15189:2012.
She has published research papers in International / National Journals and also presented Scientific papers at national and state conferences, and attended more than 20seminars/workshops. She also holds a Membership in the Indian Academy of Cytologists- Karnataka Chapter Association (IAC-KC).
