Dr. Vineeta Kumari Negi holds an MS (Ay.) in Shalya Tantra from Rajiv Gandhi Government Ayurvedic College, Paprola, Himachal Pradesh. She completed two years of senior residency at S.R. Hospital, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, followed by 8.2 years of teaching experience in both private (CDL College of Ayurveda, Haryana) and government (Rishikul PG Ayurveda College, Haridwar, Uttarakhand) institutions. During this tenure, she served as Associate Professor and Head of Department for 3.2 years. She also served as an Ayurvedic Medical Officer in the Himachal Pradesh State Services for approximately two years. In 2017, Dr. Negi joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. She headed the institute from 2019–2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, coordinating multiple research projects in the capacities of Head of Institute, State Nodal Officer, and Principal Investigator, while managing administrative responsibilities. To strengthen her research competencies, she completed several national and international trainings and courses—both online and offline—from institutions including IIPH, NIH & Department of Health and Human Services (USA), and others. She successfully completed the Basics of Biomedical Research through NPTEL under the AYUSH–ICMR Research Capacity Building Programme, and also earned an e-PG Diploma in Epidemiology from the Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH), Delhi. She also completed a Certificate Course in Marma Chikitsa from NARIP, Cheruthuruthy, Kerala.
Dr. Negi has prepared multiple SOPs related to Leech Therapy, Siravedha, NABH, and Institutional Ethics Committees etc. She served as Member Secretary (IEC & NABH) and as Expert Committee Member for Geriatric Health Care under the State Ayurveda Department (2019–2020). She was a BIS Core Group Member for Kshar Sutra Product & Process Standardization (2023). She has delivered lectures at various national and regional platforms, participated in and presented papers at international/national/regional seminars and workshops, and contributed to Arogya fairs and free medical camps. She also organized a National Seminar-cum-Workshop on Agni Karma, Kshar Karma and Marma Chikitsa as Organizing Secretary, and led several other events as Chairperson. She has served as an Ayush Helpline Consultant during COVID-19 and continues as a Consultant on the e-Sanjeevani Portal since 12 July 2022. She is a Life Member of the Sushrut Association of India and INSC International Publisher.
She has worked as Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, Nodal Officer, and Project Coordinator for various clinical, fundamental, and public-health-related studies. She has 20 research and review publications in reputed national and international journals, along with 12 popular articles on culinary herbs published on vedicus.com. She serves as a reviewer for JRAS and JIMH, and has reviewed proposals and technical reports for SPARK (2023–24) and PG-STAR. She received a Certificate of Excellence for completing the Peer Review Course (2024) from Researcher Academy. With 20 years of clinical experience after post-graduation, Dr. Negi is also the recipient of a prestigious professional award, reflecting her dedication to clinical service, teaching, and research in Ayurveda.
