Mr. Manoj Raturi is currently working as Research Officer (Bot.) at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Mandi. As the head of the Survey of Medicinal Plant Unit (SMPU), he is actively involved in Medico-Ethno-Botanical Surveys (MEBS) and research on medicinal plants.
He completed his MSc. (Botany) degree from D.B.S. (PG) College, Dehradun. He has qualified some National examinations, such as CSIR JRF, ICMR JRF, ICAR NET, GATE (LS) etc.
He initiated his research career as a JRF at the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, working on in vitro propagation of medicinal plants in the Genetic and Tree Propagation Division. He Joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) as Assistant Research Officer (Bot.) in 2020. His research primarily centres on conducting Medico-Ethno-Botanical survey tours across different regions of Himachal Pradesh, along with the collection and supply of authentic raw plant materials to CCRAS peripheral institutes.
So far, he has completed 01 IMR project as Co-I. Currently, he is working on one IMR project as the Principal Investigator (P-I) and two IMR projects as a Co-Principal Investigator (Co-I). He has published more than five research articles and one book chapter in peer-reviewed journals.
