Mr. Lakshminarayana Misro is currently serving at the National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma (NARIP), Cheruthuruthy, under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS). He obtained his B.Sc. from Acharya Nagarjuna University (2015) and M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences from Pondicherry University (2017). He joined CCRAS on 22nd April 2021, and since then has been actively engaged in the field of Natural Product Chemistry and Standardization of Ayurvedic Formulations, contributing to research aimed at integrating traditional wisdom with modern scientific validation.
Mr. Misro has been involved in eight Intramural Research (IMR) projects of CCRAS, focusing on quality control, standardization, pharmaceutical development, and analytical validation of Ayurvedic formulations. His work includes marker compound estimation, SOP development, shelf-life studies, and drug standardization, thereby advancing the scientific basis and credibility of Ayurvedic medicines. In recognition of his research contributions, he received the Prof. S.S. Handa Memorial Award for his flash talk presentation at the International Conference on Bioeconomy from Bioresources: Promoting Traditional Resources of NER for Viksit Bharat jointly organised by BRIC-Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development & Society for Ethnopharmacology, India (SFE INDIA).
With a strong academic and research background, Mr. Misro has authored over 16 research publications in reputed National/international journals from publishers such as Nature, Elsevier, and Springer Nature, and contributed five book chapters to leading publishers including Elsevier, Springer, and Bentham, along with one edited book. He has qualified multiple national-level examinations including CSIR-LS (2019), UGC-JRF, AP SLET (2017), and GATE (2018–2022). His research interests lie in phytochemistry, drug standardization, nutraceuticals, and Ayurvedic drug development, aiming to bridge traditional medicine and modern scientific approaches.
