Mr. Noushad Ahmed

Noushad Ahmed completed his M.Phil (Library Science) and Master of Library and Information Science from Delhi University, complemented by Master of Arts from the same University. He has also cleared the UGC-NET (Library Science) examination and successfully completed the “General Course on Intellectual Property” from World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

With a career spanning over a decade, Noushad Ahmed has gained valuable insights in libraries across diverse sectors. He has contributed his expertise to Corporate, Academic, and R & D Organizations, including Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research (AIACT&R), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), and Delhi University Library System (DULS).

Currently, he holds the position of Library and Information Officer at Central Council of Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), where he also takes on the responsibility of overseeing the Publication Section.

Noushad’s research contributions are noteworthy, comprising published research papers in esteemed International/National journals. He has also been an active participant in National and International conferences and seminars, where he has presented his research work. His attendance at workshops further demonstrates his engagement with the evolving landscape of Library Science.

His specialization encompasses various facets of modern library practices, such as designing and evaluating websites, implementing Library Management Software and Web-OPACs, managing Electronic Journals, Anti-Plagiarism tools, harnessing the potential of Social Networking Sites, and effectively employing ICT applications in libraries.
