Background of the Institute.

This Institute was established in 1971 and is functioning under Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. This Institute is renamed as Central Ayurveda Research Institute; Patiala in December 2020.The total area of this Institute is about 3.26 acre. It has three storeyed building and adjoining pharmacy building and a botanical garden. Lease Deed of building was renewed and signed between Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, New Delhi, and Govt. of Punjab on dated 27.10.2016.

Pharmaceutical Research and Clinical Research focusing on Respiratory Disorders

Major Activities:

1. This Institute has general O.P.D. and speciality clinics like Geriatric clinic OPD, Biochemistry and Pathology Laboratory and Pharmacy. Presently this Institute has 10 bedded IPD.
2. Outreach Activities such as Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Programme under SCSP and Women and Child Health Care Programme-SCSP.
3. Panchkarma facilty at OPD and IPD level.
